More about this scene
The Helford River reaches far inland to cut off the Lizard peninsula from the rest of Cornwall. Here on the north shore, a mile from Mawnan Smith, is the ferry place for foot passengers wishing to cross the estuary to Helford village on the Lizard side. A small van is making a delivery.
