They were the best persons ever

I remember going there in about 1965, I was on the Florence Gibson ward and we went to school there. I remember looking after the rabbits and guinea pigs. I remember bringing a rabbit home as a pet

I remember that in the garden at the rear there was a playground and also an aeroplane

I was in and out of the Children's Hospital at Heswall till I was about 16 and remember Sister Bromley and Dr Burston with fond memories (they should be commemorated some how). I was one of the fortunate children who had a home to go to after being in there. I remember also Dr Kodicek at Birkenhead General Hospital.
