Heysham, Fairy Chapel Rocks 1912

More about this scene
The rocky coast around Heysham Head pro- vided excitement and danger for its Victorian and Edwardian visitors. No holiday in Morecambe or Lancaster was complete without a day at Heysham. Nicknames or folk names gave places added attraction to those day-trippers; here we see the rock formation known for many years as 'The Fairy Chapel'. Our two visitors seem impressed enough to pose for their photograph.
