Harborne Hall, High Halden, Kent 1969

A Memory of High Halden.

Hello Linda.

I came across your message while googling Harborne Hall. For six weeks in the summer of 1989 we rented the first floor flat in one wing of the house for I think about ten pounds a week. It was large enough for my family of six (2+ 4 young children) from HK and my sister and her family (2+ 2 young children) from the States. It was a little run down but at that price amazingly good value and the summer that year was perfect.

The owners at the time were a retired army couple but we did not have much to do with them. The name Forester rings a bell though.

We drove by in 1982 when staying near Maidstone and it had all changed

best wises,

Nick

I have only happy memories of growing up on Harbourne Farm. I remember Major and Mrs Forrester and the previous owners who emigrated to Australia. Happy times. My sister and i visited a couple of years ago and it was very nostalgic for both of us. Linda Bliss
