More about this scene

The presence of ladies in hats, and of skirts below the knee, point unmistakably to a date in the mid-1960s, reinforced by the presence of a Silver Cross pram. A few late Georgian buildings brighten up this otherwise dull street-scene. At least the shops still retain well-mannered fronts.

On my first day at school, around November time, it was really cold with deep snow and me and my mum walked up to catch the H21 at the bus stop up by the Co-op at the top of Wolvey Road. My feet got so cold and wet ...see more
Hi Can anyone help me? Was there a Netherley House in Hinckley Road in the late 1930s/early 1940s? I have a relative who was born there in November 1940 but I cant see any record of the place. Any help would be appreciated. Regards Tracey
