The village store in Holcombe Rogus is consigned to the history books, although a local garage now sells some of the items offered here. The tobacco advertising is quite amazing to our 21st-century eyes: Players, Bachelor, Woodbine, Park Drive and Bristol cigarettes are mentioned. A chocolate machine sits on the wall. The building today is a private dwelling, Waterloo House.

War Time In Holcombe Rogus
Hi everyone. I lived in Holcombe Rogus during the war years. My Father Leeming Greaves and Kathleen Korner had leased the Prince Of Wales Hotel. My brother Joseph and I attended the local School, I was 9 years old at that time. My Teachers name was Mrs Berry. Mrs Berry had a son Roger who spent a lot of time with my brother. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
