On the right can be seen the shop of Stephen Randall, grocer, baker, prpvision merchant and draper. The village also had a butcher, another grocer, two boot makes, an undertaker, a plumber, two carpenters, a market gardener and bee keeper and an insurance agent, as well as the three public houses.
