Honiton, High Street c.1960

More about this scene
Before the days of motorways and bypasses, Honiton was the gateway to Devon for travellers coming from the south and east of England, who passed along this long straight road. Just beyond Moors Garage (right) is the old Lamb Inn, closed by its parent brewery in the 1970s and now a café. Moors Garage has gone too, and is now a photographic shop.
