More about this scene
The County Hotel is one of the main hotels in the centre of Kendal. It dominates this part of the old town, whose wealth was founded on the woollen and textile industries. The famed Kendal bowmen at the Battle of Flodden Field (1513) were clad in home-spun Kendal Green cloth.
