One of the older United Counties single-deckers parks outside the library. During one year there would be other changes; a zebra crossing was later removed, and the older lamp posts with wrought iron branches would be discarded in favour of tall concrete poles. The drinking troughs had been moved from the Dryland Memorial — the white pillar outside the library. They would be re-instated later.
