More about this scene

The photographer is standing on Monks Hill, looking down the winding road that leads to the centre of the original village. The Church stands surrounded by trees, whilst in the distance is Sand Bay. The small building to the left of the church was once used as a Poorhouse but was converted for use as Kewstoke's first schoolroom in 1840.

Sparked a Memory for you?

If this has sparked a memory, why not share it here?

Unfortunately I do not have memories of Kewstoke as my Mother was moved from the maternity home after I was 2 weeks old to Bognor Regis. I would like to know more about my birth place. For instance where the maternity home was , and possibly what it is now if it is still standing. Can anyone help with this please. Thank you.
