Keynsham, The Church Of St John The Baptist And Station Road c.1960

More about this scene
St John's Church stands at the busy crossroads of the High Street and Station Road, which runs towards Fry's (now Cadbury's) chocolate factory at Somerdale. Overspill from Bristol more than quadrupled the town's population in the 1950s. The ornate lamp standard survived several knocks before a 1960s by-pass relieved the congestion.
