The Farm

A Memory of Keynsham.

My Grandfather had the farm along Park rd Called the Cameroons I was only small but have good memories of it , my brother being 7yrs older remembers it far better. I would like a book if it had the old farm in it before all the Estate was built. My grandfather was Albert Cook.

Hi, I've just seen your memory while searching for Cameroons relating to my grandfather - Alfred Maggs, sister to Ada, Albert's wife, your grandparents. My mother used to tell me about a connection to the Cameroons and Alf, her dad who may have owned a property there, but am trying to find out what properties were there back in the 1930's 40's! It's funny what you find on the internet - a distant cousin! More interesting is that Ada and Albert lived in Compton Dando in the Compton Inn before it was a pub near where I live. Kind regards Rosie
I hope you don't mind if I keep in touch! I have a photograph I'd like you to have a look at, if I can get it to you via Francis Frith. I'll try putting it into the comment box. Watch this space! I also have some memorabilia relating to your grandfather. I understand he was a funeral director/carpenter. I have a black edged card with his name on the back. I'll try and send that to you as well. Rosie
Hi again. I can't send any photos to you, but if you'd like to email me directly, I can send them to you via email. My email address is rosiethompson@live.co.uk. Regards Rosie
