My name is James Hitchcock.I was born at 27 Devonshire Drive and lived there with my Grandfather Jim Goddard.l learned to play the cornet and joined Langwith Colliery band. I have many wonderful memories of the times and would like to speak to anyone who feels the same way
My family are originally from langwith,my grandad was george charlesworth son of richard and elizabeth chalesworth nee yates ,is it possible that any of his families decendants still live in langwith, think all the men worked down langwith pit his brother killed langwith pit 1920s.
Love to hear from anyone that knew the family.
