More about this scene
This unpretentious church with its 12th-century round tower has hidden secrets. Heavily restored and decorated throughout, it has many features. The porch was added in c1800, and the large roof is quite modern in appearance. There are fine candelabra of Italian origin in the attractive interior, and a beautiful Purbeck marble font. William Hardy, the local squire, lived in the hall next door; he was known locally as an outstanding and caring landlord.
