Levenshulme - a Memory of Levenshulme.

I remember my earliest memories of Levenshulme (where I have lived for the past 15 years) was as a boy of about 4 or 5 in the early 1970s, going to the dairy on Lloyd Road where the bus terminus was - with my grandfather and also driving down to Faireys on Crossley road and then playing in the park (Cringle Park) . I also remember the smell of Mcvities which are still going strong today.
If anyone has any memories or photographs of Milwain Road and Errwood Road and Slade Lane and Linden Road from the early 1900s to the present day or knows where photos are on the internet please drop me a email on knowmadiq@aol.com

Tips & Ideas

Not sure what to write? It's easy - just think of an important place in your life and ask yourself:

  • How does it feature in your personal history?
  • What are your best memories of this place?
  • How has it changed over the years?
  • How does it feel, seeing these places again?
  • Do you remember stories about the community, its history and people?
