Shopping In Safeways

A Memory of Lewisham.

We lived in Knowles Hill Cres as young parents with a baby girl and we used to go shopping in Safeways on a Friday . We went to the toy shop on my daughters 4th birthday to buy her a doll but came home with a trainset. We had her photo taken with santa in Chiesmans but we left Lewisham in 1969.

Hello Marian I was born in Courthill Rd and my son was born in lewisham Hos in 1963 we were rehoused in 68, Mrs Marsh had her last child on 5.11 63 next labour ward to me. Do you remember the cresent stores and the oil shop on corner of nightingale grove. My mum worked in Safeway in 60's so nice to catch up on good times.
