Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

while driving through Bordon Hampshire recently came to crossroads sign Lip hook I was informed by my dad that they used to train the army lads here drive trains .can any one shed some news

Train drivers were trained No 1. R T T Camp, Longmoor.

Liphook was the home of N.o 2. Engineers Stores Depot.

I was stationed there from March 1948 until June 1949

I was one of the Regimental Police N C O s

I remember there were about 800 civilians employed

there at that time

Yes, the Longmore Camp and railway was down the Borden Road from Liphook. The railway connected to the main line at Liss, ran to Longmore and I think it then originally (during the war) went on to Borden and connected to the Alton line.
