Was The Semaphore Inn, Llysfaen, Previously Called The Bull?
A Memory of Llysfaen.
As a little girl in late 1950’s /60’s I used to visit my grandparents caravan on the site by the Semaphore pub.
It hasn’t changed a bit apart from big, new caravans replacing the little old ones. The big field and of course the view exactly the same.
We all had our own garden around the caravan - and as a child used to love the little oil lights.
Remember my dad and grandad going to the pub - Semaphore now- but has it been renamed from The Bull - or am I dreaming? And was there a butchers there too?
Would love to know. Wonderful days

Her other son Gwilym worked for Meredith and Kirkham in Old Colwyn and then Dolgellau .He married Jean who came from Mochdre
Other great aunts Katherine Jones (sons Michael and Raymond) and Mary ? also lived in the village.
I loved my time there on the beaches at Llanddulas and Colwyn , watching the GWR steam trains and playing in Eirias Park
When Dad , Mum and sister Jean came over we used to go the Semaphore or the Castle Inn for a drink
My great grandparents Roberts lived in a small farmhouse called Llecha which I think is now a holiday let
Lost touch with my cousins unfortunately but I always drive through the village when we visit North Wales
Wonderful memories
