More about this scene
Park Lane, once the desolate by-road known as Tiburn Lane, was a refined street of palatial mansions enjoying expansive vistas of the Park. These great houses included Grosvenor House, the home of the Marquess of Westminster, Holdernesse House, the residence of the Marquess of Londonderry, and Dorchester House.
