Growing Up In Long Sutton
A Memory of Long Sutton.
I was born in Long Sutton in Dial House and in1939 moved to The Chase. My father was a railway clerk at the station for over 40 years. He started as a lad porter at Gedney in 1918. I remember the Gem cinema, the beautiful flower park,as a scout in the wet coronation parade1953. Later catching the 8a.m. train to Spalding for 8 years!!
