A lady in traditional dress poses with her pannier donkey in Higher Market Street, East Looe, outside the old 16th-century guildhall. The outer stair to the top floor is protected by an extension of the roof, and the old stocks or pillory are set in the gable. A new stone guildhall was built in 1877.
