Coppice Avenue Lower Willingdon

A Memory of Lower Willingdon.

I lived above Walters the greengrocers next to the post office from 1948 to 1959 and remember what an amazing time it was .Holters was just around the corner where we used to buy his 1p lollies next door was the butcher shop who's sausages were the best I think he was called Mr sterry I first went to the upper Hillingdon church school then to lower willingdon juniors from there to westham secondary where the headmaster Mr Larkin was a man to fear .then when the new school opened in lower willingdon I ended up there I think the headmaster was Mr moors l also member our local policeman a Mr heard he was a wonderful man .My time in lower willingdon has nothing but fantastic memories .Patrick copp

I lived at 9 Tott Yew road from1948 to 1969,went to local schools and have lovely memories of those times.Iam still in touch with several of my Willingdon secondary school friends from 1959 to 1963 years.
