More about this scene

Loxwood is on the route of the partly-restored Wey and Arun canal near the Surrey border - 'London's lost route to the sea'. The church of St John the Baptist was built in 1898. The Onslow Arms is adjacent to the canal. The Sir Roger Tichbourne is a 16th-century inn that is now very popular with anglers. Brewhurst Mill is a complete and conserved corn watermill. The shop on the left has old enamelled metal cigarette advertising signs fixed to the wall. There is a larger shop across road. A woman waits patiently against the fence by the pond; she has just come from the swimming pool area.
