Hi My name is David Garner and I was a student at the 'Tech' from 1954 to 1957 I enjoyed the old building especially the main hall where we congregated for chats and I especially enjoyed the metalwork workshop where the teacher was a railway enthusiast and took some of us on a trip to Crewe for the workshops travelling on the Royal Scot
I also remember the heady smell of the beer brewery from across the road "flowers Brewery"
