Growing Up In Lydd

A Memory of Lydd.

I have many memories of lydd some not so great I was brought up in the old police station opp the rising sun just on the right as you go over the bridge of the miniature steam railway. I remember the feilds at the back of the old police station spent most of my childhood across the dykes n feilds picking mushrooms by the railway there was also a caravan site does anyone know about the old police station n what happened to it ?
I remember Mr. Quinys butchers they were very kind to my family. Does anybody else know if the butchers my friends mum and dad owned the golf course at camber sands.

i was born in 9 the green LYDD1955, Oppisite Mr bass farm, we would watch hi bringing his sheep all the way to the railway station, we would play on the kerb next to the main road with dinky toys, we may see 1 car go by. my mums name was bertha Allen [ pope ] where the derrings is , vinelands, coperfields were just sheep. i am william, brother tom sisters judy , liz
