Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

More about this scene

The Alexandra Hotel was established in 1888 and still welcomes guests today.The building was originally the home of William Pinney MP in the days of ancient boroughs, when Lyme had its own representative at Westminster.The extensive grounds are now part of the public gardens above Marine Parade.

Dunsters Bookshop Lyme Regis

I just received a gift of a map DUNSTERS geological map of THE ENVIRONS OF LYME REGIS price four pence. A great piece of Lyme history.

Coram Court, Lyme Regis.
It was so good going through all the photos. I worked in Coram Court from 1968 until 1970 and I loved every minute of it. The photos brought back a lot of happy memories.

Marine Parade

Remember the Marine Parade so well I came to Lyme Regis in the early 1950 as a pre nursing student at the Local Cottage Hospital my name then was Muriel. Davis we always were called by our surnames I married in 1956 to Tony Wiscombe member of a local building firm Those care free days walking to the Cobb and back on a Sunday then home for cream tea or trifle and sandwiches

School Journey 1960
Magical trip for a 14 year old working class boy attending Sinjuns Grammar School - a two week school journey to Lyme Regis. We had no car of our own, so bicycles and coach, bus and train journeys provided the backdrop to holidays. Holidays with mum and dad were always daytrips without overnights and cafes and picnics rather than restaurants and pubs. Walking was popular with many "are we there yet"s and ...see more

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
