More about this scene
The Rev Edward Peek, formerly the minister at Rousdon, retired to Lyme Regis, where he turned the stables of Poulett House into what became known as the Peek Memorial Chapel. He rebuilt it in English Renaissance style in 1884, with a High Church altar and an elaborate Venetian mosaic of Our Lord in Majesty. The building, which had seating for 80, is now the Poulett Hall.
