More about this scene
St Michael's House, the Victorian home of Mrs Brandham at No 7 Pound Street, became St Michael's Hotel. It was under 'entirely new management' in 1924, when the proprietors were Mr and Mrs Walter Hardy. We are looking south-eastwards from the carriageway; the next-door neighbours are St Anne's at No 6 (left) and Shamien House at No 8 (right). The building was empty and undergoing conversion and restoration in 2005.
