Lympstone's harbour offers fine views across the River Exe to the long ridge of the Haldon Hills. This haven is now used mostly for leisure yachting, though a century ago fishermen still made a living here. It remains an excellent viewpoint for a glimpse of the Exe's famous wildfowl.
