Maidenhead, St Luke's Church 1896

More about this scene
Much more pedestrian in style is St Luke's, at the junction of St Luke's Road and Norfolk Road to the north of the town centre, built to serve the new suburb beyond what became Kidwell's Park. Typical of its era, this 1860s church is in the Decorated Gothic style built in a rock-faced stone. The field has subsequently been developed. The right-hand half is occupied by 26 Norfolk Road, and the rest by houses in Vicarage Road.
