More about this scene
Built in the 1750s, Martock's Market House originally held a row of shambles or butchers' shops. It became a fire station, the council house and an ex-servicemen's club before restoration in 1954 for council meetings. The original Pinnacle, a copy of a column at Wilton House, was destroyed by a lorry and replaced.
