A few miles outside the market town of Liskeard, but away from main roads, the village has largely escaped modern developments. The church of St Lalluwy has a 13th-century tower; the needle spire was added by the 15th century, when the rest of the church was rebuilt.

My mother Eileen Lambert (nee Carter) was evacuated to Menheniot in August 1944. Here are her meories of that time:-

My husband's family descends from The Congdons. I have found out that Joseph Congdon and Ada Helmer Snell possibly lived here. Does anyone know if this is correct?

Hi I was also born in 1950. I was baptised in Menheniot. My parents. Ken and Barbara Jarvis were with my grandparents Elsie and Charles Jarvis. I have some photos of them at Coldrenick House. They spoke of Mrs Trelawney. I am going through photos as I think there are also some of Mrs Trelawnet but I haven't found them yet!
I am looking for anyone who has any BATTEN ancestors from Menheniot, Liskeard, St Germans and Saltash.
