More about this scene
This scene is quite similar today. The old Town Hall to the left of the library is rather more dilapidated, but it has survived being struck by lightning. There are still benches beside Lord Buckland`s statue (left), but the events notice board has been removed. The library always opens all its windows in hot weather.
