Just inside the ornamental gates we can see the original house of the Park Curator, which today serves as a small café. The Dorman Museum, opened in 1904, lies just beyond the gates. The statue on the left is of Henry Bolckow, which was placed there in 1925; more recently it was re-sited in central Middlesbrough. The clock on its tall pillar was presented to the town in 1900.
