Pet Shop

A Memory of Mitcham.

Can anyone remember the name of the Pet Shop at Mitcham Fair Green, near Drewetts the Funeral Directors. Some friends have said it was the Rag Tag and Bobtail, but I'm sure it was called something else before that.

It was Rag Tag & Bobtail. The other shop where we used to get feed from was Gutteridges opposite Fair Green.

I think you way be thinking of Dineens which was just past the Nags Head pub going down Western Road next to what I think was a coach depot. They had a Mynah bird in a cage just outside the entrance which had been taught some rather rude language.
