More about this scene

Mithian lies just off the Perranporth to St Agnes road. Here at the top end of the hamlet, the nearest end of the thatched house is the post office, with a telephone kiosk outside. The very small village hall is on the left.

Sparked a Memory for you?

If this has sparked a memory, why not share it here?

Hello everybody I want to know what is the origin of the name "Mithian". I did hear that the significance is: Saint Matthias in Italian, but I am not sure, because I can't find any information. Do you know what is the origin of the name Mithian? It is very important for me. If anyone knows, my mail is: xoloxixi@yahoo.com Thank you.
In the 1840's Magors and Menadues migrated from Mithian to South Australia, and I am the product of the marriages between the families. If anyone would like to correspond with me on this page I have more details and would love to learn new ones. I live in Adelaide South Australia and am visiting Mithian in May 2007 to learn what I can. Thankyou Ruth Gates nee MAGOR   My father's mother was a MENADUE
