More about this scene
This is another nostalgic picture of steam in the Peak District. It has gone now: but for how long? A private steam company has already opened six miles of track north of Matlock, and intend one day to get right through to Buxton. With views like this at every turn, it will be incredibly popular. The viaduct, built in 1863, is a Listed Structure.
