More about this scene
Here we see the area at the start of the West End Pier. By the early years of the 20th century, Morecambe had most of its major tourist attractions in place, things that would bring in the visitors for many years. The two piers were completed, and so was the promenade, complete with free shelters; there was a fun fair, and in 1890 Morecambe started an annual Music Festival, which proved very popular.
