School Holiday
A Memory of Moreton Paddox.
I was on a week's holiday with other pupils from Ardwick Secondary Technical School in Manchester, five girls shared what was known as the film star bedroom, a most beautiful room with oil paintings on the walls.
I was 15 at the time and felt most grown up, being away for the first time without my parents.
It was the Shakespeare's birthday celebrations whist we were there and the gardener gathered flowers from the gardens so we could join the procession.
It was a lovely time and the memories I have always treasured, to be staying in such a beautiful house was wonderful.
