More about this scene
Built in the late1820s, Fort Perch Rock Battery site was then manned continuously until the end of World War II. On what is evidently a cool day, the visitors of the 1960s are nevertheless enjoying the traditions of a day by the sea - a trip round the bay and a bracing stroll to the lighthouse.
