More about this scene
The photographer has now moved up to the parish church to catch this lovely village scene. The first building past the row of cottages on the left was the post office and a beer house many years ago. In the 1960s it was a village shop, but that now has closed. Further up is Crabtree Farm, built on the site of six burnt-out cottages in 1733. The two larger cottages this side of the old post office have been altered to form one private house.
