From this view it is obvious that the town occupies a ridge between the two rivers: the land drops to the Great Ouse (see the previous views) and to the Ouzel, as we see here - this view was taken from well down the slope towards its banks. The church is a proud, large town church of high architectural quality. Mostly 14th- and 15th-century, it was completed by the addition of the great west tower between 1542 and 1548.
