Nottingham, Wheeler Gate 1902

More about this scene
Until 1885, Wheeler Gate was a narrow street only wide enough for one vehicle to pass at a time. The western side was then demolished and rebuilt, but it was another seven years before the eastern side was pulled down to give the road the width which exists today.
