More about this scene
One stop short of the terminus at Cockfosters, Oakwood Station is one of the jewels along this northern stretch of the Piccadilly line, which also includes Southgate, Arnos Grove and Cockfosters. Working on a theme echoed at Northfields and Sudbury Town, Charles Holden designed these brick and concrete stations soon after 1933 with a flair and panache surpassed by no other designer on the system.
