More about this scene
Still close to the Yorkshire county boundary and south- west of Harworth, Oldcotes village is situated at the crossroads of the A634 and A60; Main Street runs east from the A60 Doncaster Road south of the Blyth Road. The house on the left, South Royd, with its attached barn, has now had the paint removed from the stonework. A stream runs along the right-hand side of the road, and at the end and out of sight is St Helen's Roman Catholic church of about 1870, and rather good.
