A Memory of Padstow.

My name is Louise Brown and I live in Australia. I went to England in 2007, had a wonderful time. I spent some time in Padstow because I lived in Padstow in Sydney Australia. I had heard so much about Padstow in England, especially Rick Stein's restaurants. Padstow is a beautiful place, it holds many great memories. I live on the south coast of Sydney now, right opposite the beach, just like Padstow in England. I would love to visit again in the future.

Hi Gerry, my name is Graham Hagley and I lived in Cornwall in the 1970's, just outside St. Austell in a village called Trethurgy. I was a member of the Padstow sailing club, their club house used to be on the quay next to the slip way. We used to sail every Sunday, alternating between morning and afternoon, because of the tides but always ended up with a few beers either lunchtime or evening when racing was completed. Happy days. Have been back a few times (sept. Last year was latest) . Moved from Cornwall to S. Wales in 1980 and then to Hastings in East Sussex in 1988. Retired in 2010 and moved to Northern Ireland, Co. Antrim. Have really fond memories of Cornwall. I have just turned 70 and will most certainly be visiting again as I still have many friends in the area and have recently discovered through a genealogy site that I have a cousin who lives there. Hence my visit last year to meet up with her and her family. Do you still live in Cornwall?
