We are looking north across the river toward Bishop's Road, conspicuous by its buses. A few lorries of the period are parked on rough ground behind a hut; this makes a contrast with the full south-east outline of St Peter's Cathedral. Leisure cruisers were luxury items when this picture was taken, and add a touch of elegance to the waterside.
