Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

My maiden name was Wood. We lived at Cuckoo Hill, I just wonder if that was our father's VX. I have spoken to my brother Richard who thinks it's possible as they were so very rare in those days. Although the view is intended to show parked cars, I am looking past the VW Beetle and the Austin A35 van and gazing fondly at The Queen's Head! Many is the pint of beer or cider I have drunk here since the 1960's although I didn't really get interested in beer until after I left Pinner Grammar School in 1963. While I was at school I would cycle to and from my home in Hatch End past the pub!
