More about this scene
Whether it be Blackpool, Dunoon, Port Bannatyne, Port Erin or any of a hundred other resorts in the 1890s, holidaymakers had developed a passion for messing about in boats, mainly of the rowing variety, though there were also adventurous souls prepared to hire out yachts. With clear skies and a calm sea, it looks as though the local boatmen are in for a profitable day.
